EGM & Associate Members

Conducted initially by telephone and then in person, the first meeting of Draum as a group occurred today - an Extraordinary General Meeting.

It was more of a reporting session than anything else, where Darren spread the news of progress on the Constitution, the website, and communications with The Society on our formation. This was well received.

In particular it may of interest for you to learn that the idea of Associate Members has been raised. Subject to approval by group officers, former members of Draum (or anyone, really) would be able to join the group as an Associate Member, even if they do not hold (or have never held) a Society Membership. This allows us to bring former members and other dubious characters into the group simply for social purposes so we can keep in touch. In the spirit of Draum, there would be no fee for Associate Membership.
